Ingredients:
Maida flour : 1 cup
Coconut : 1 cup
Jaggery : 1 cup
Salt : a pinch
Elachi
Turmeric Powder
Method:
- Make a dough with Maida, little turmeric powder and a pinch of salt. Keep it aside.
- In a pan, add coconut and jaggery, cook well till it comes out of the pan. Add Elachi. Keep it aside.
- In Maida dough make balls and roll it to a small chappathi.
- Make balls with the coconut mixture.
- Keep the coconut ball inside the chappathi, close it, and roll or pat in a butter or plastic sheet into a small chappathi again.
- In a tawa, place it, add some ghee around it, cook till you get some light brown color on both sides. The tasty coconut poli is now ready to serve.
- Serve hot with ghee and you may also add hot milk on top of it.
Tip: Keep the maida dough for 2 -3 hours before doing the poli.
