.….how Andal followed Periyazwar’s footsteps in Thiruppallaandu and replicated the same in Thiruppavai ?
Let us see these two verses to understand how Andal has followed Periyazwar’s footsteps:
1) Mallaanda thinthol mani vannaa... - “Thiru Pallandu” [pasuram :1 - “pallandu pallandu”]
2) Seeriya singam...poovai poo vannaa - “Thiruppavai” [pasuram :23 - “maari malai”]
Let us see these two verses to understand how Andal has followed Periyazwar’s footsteps:
1) Mallaanda thinthol mani vannaa... - “Thiru Pallandu” [pasuram :1 - “pallandu pallandu”]
2) Seeriya singam...poovai poo vannaa - “Thiruppavai” [pasuram :23 - “maari malai”]
2) By citing “Seeriya singam”, Andal also conveys that Perumal has “Parakramam”(mighty) and Tejas”(Energy) and by citing “Poovai poo vanna”, She also adds that HE is so soft and beautiful as a flower.
Thus, Andal followed Periyazwar's footsteps in praising Perumal's Parakramam and Sukumaram.
