Ingredients:
Gram Dhall : 1 cup
Jaggery : 3/4 - 1 cup (depends)
Ghee
For Outer Cover:
Maida : 1 1/4 cup
Oil : 1/4 cup
Salt a pinch
Turmeric powder a pinch
Method:
Gram Dhall : 1 cup

Method:
- In a bowl, add maida, turmeric powder, salt, oil.
- Add water and make a dough (like chapathi dough). Keep aside.
- Allow it soak for atleast an hour.
- Soak the gram dhall for about 1/2 an hour.
- Cook in the pressure cooker with little water (6 whistles)
- Grate the jaggery and keep it aside
- Take out the gram dhall , cool it down. Drain if there is any excess water.
- Grind it with jaggery in a mixer.
- Make balls. Keep aside.
- Now make balls with Maida. Pat it with little oil in hand in a Plaintain leaf or a plastic sheet.
- Once you get the size of puri, place the gram dhall, jaggery balls in the center, close it.
- Pat it again with some oil in hand.
- In a pan, add little ghee and cook the poli in a medium flame, till you get some brown colors on both sides.
- Serve hot with ghee on top / hot milk on top.
