கனைத்திளங் கற்றெருமை கன்றுக் கிரங்கி

நினைத்து முலைவழியே நின்றுபால் சோர

நனைத்தில்லஞ் சேறாக்கும் நற்செல்வன் தங்காய்

பனித்தலை வீழநின் வாசற் கடைபற்றிச்

சினத்தினால் தென்னிலங்கைக் கோமானைச் செற்ற

மனத்துக் கினியானைப் பாடவும்நீ வாய்திறவாய்

இனித்தா னெழுந்திரா யீதென்ன பேருறக்கம்

அனைத்தில்லத் தாரு மறிந்தேலோ ரெம்பாவாய்.

Introduction:

In this Paasuram, Aandal tries to wake up the sister of a boy, who always is with Shri. Krishna like Balarama, like Lakshmana and like Shri. Nandhagopar.

Padhapadhaartham - பதபதார்த்தம் - Word by Word Meaning

iLam kaTRu earumai/இளம் கற்று எருமை - Buffalos with little calves

kanaththu/கனைத்து - to be calling (so that someone can milk them)

kanRukku irangki/கன்றுக்கு இரங்கி - to feel pity for their calves

ninaiththu/நினைத்து - to think of the calves

mulaivazhiyee ninRu paal soora/முலைவழியே நின்று பால் சோர - as they were thinking of their calves, the milk starts flowing from the udder

illam nanaiththu/இல்லம் நனைத்து - because of that the whole house is flooded

seeRu aakkum/சேறு ஆக்கும் - because of the flood and the mixture of them with the sand, the house became sludgy

nal selvan/நல் செல்வன் - the one who is blessed with Krishna Kainkaryam/Service

thangkaay/தங்காய் - younger sister!!!

nin vaasal katai paTRi/நின் வாசல் கடை பற்றி - to stand in the front of the house

then ilangkai koomaanai/தென் இலங்கை கோமானை - the king of the wealthy Lanka - Ravanan

manaththukku iniyaanai/மனத்துக்கு இனியானை - Rama, the one who brings peace to the heart
