Day 19, Godha Weaves a Vow(English Poem)

‘The lamp is lit on all sides
The bed elevated on ivory legs
So soft and pristine
And of such splendour and fragrance
That its freshness is so strongly felt
On such bed they rest

His broad shoulders
Beneath her swollen breasts
The one whose locks are rich with floral jewels
May you speak a word of mouth
And such that are only devout
Oh ‘Nappinnai’

Such beautifully darkened eyes as yours
That you don’t for a moment untie
From your partner on bed
This Nothing could belie
This is not fair
Nor does it befit you, the one so rare.’
