Day 7 Recipe - Avial

Avial - for 2 people

Ingredients:






  1. Carrot, Seppan kizhangu, White Pumpkin, Avaraikkai, Beans, - All these cut in the same shapes (more or less) - 2 cups
  2. Thick Curd : 3 cups
  3. Salt : 1 tsp
  4. Turmeric Powder
  5. Coconut - Shredded : 5 spoons
  6. Green Chilli : 3
  7. Jeera : 1 tsp
  8. Aesofotida
Seasoning:

Coconut oil, Jeera, Curry leaves

Method:

  • Cook all the vegetables with little water in the stove top, not in the pressure cooker. Add some salt, Aesofotida and Turmeric powder. Keep aside.
  • Then Grind Coconut, Green Chilli, Jeera into a fine paste.
  • Add the paste in the cooked vegetables.
  • Let it boil for sometime - 5 mts
  • Switch off the gas, let it cool for sometime, then add the thick curd.
  • For seasoning, add coconut oil in a kadai, fry jeera, add curry leaves. Mix in avail. The tasty avial is now ready to eat.
