Day 8, Godha Weaves a Vow(English Poem)

Oh Krishna’s beloved so naive
The eastern sky gleams in white
The oxen and the buffaloes
Are out to graze,you see,
On dewdrop fields beaming alive.
The hurried stride of maidens new
Those that longed to bathe
And reach the Lord ahead of you
We put their strides at hold, for now,
At your castle’s door wecome
Awake Oh girl and join us for this vow.
May we sing His glories abound
Those that shall free us
From fetters of this ground
He is the one who rode
To put an end
To horse demon Kesi - not worth a remorse.
To that Lord of Lords
If we pray
By His side and down His feet
Our yearns shall reach His ears that care
And mercy shall be a gift from the king of Gods.
That shall free us
To reach thosehallowed feet
